What we offer

The Creative Center uses the transformative power of the arts to foster connection, healing, and self-expression for individuals and caregivers affected by cancer and chronic illness.

Through art and art-making, we help participants connect to themselves and others by building community within and beyond the healthcare system.

Our core goals are to:

  • Enhance quality of life for people living with cancer, chronic illness, the challenges of aging, and caregivers through meaningful creative engagement.

  • Support emotional and mental well-being by providing opportunities for self-expression, reflection, and connection.

  • Humanize healthcare environments by centering creativity, compassion, and person-centered care.

  • Strengthen relationships among patients, caregivers, healthcare staff, and artists through collaborative, trauma-informed creative practice.

  • Promote equity and accessibility so that creative opportunities are available to people of all backgrounds and abilities.

  • Educate and support artists, administrators and educators through training in best practices in arts-in-health and creative aging.

Guided by these goals, The Creative Center ensures that creativity remains a powerful resource for healing, resilience, and community.
