"My paintings and works on paper, while reflecting the simplicity of minimalism, are places of emotional force, visual events full of subtle surprises. After more than three decades of being a painter, my love of painting and the pleasure it can give people gained new meaning through my work as a Creative Center artist in residence. I worked in an end of life facility and the infusion suites of two cancer centers. The patients and families I met and the hours they created art in a hospital setting is something I will never forget. These people have taken up residence in my heart and are a permanent part of my life."
